Marvel vs. Capcom 2 |
Amingo is a large, anthropomorphic cactus from Marvel vs. Capcom 2. He is usually portrayed as wearing a sombrero and some form of lower clothing. He is able to partially morph his body into other shapes, as well as extend his limbs.
Although Amingo has only appeared in Marvel vs. Capcom 2, he was originally supposed to star in some form of rhythm game, but due to negative feedback on the character, the game was officially cancelled. The rhythm aspect of the game was not simply cast aside, however, as one of Amingo's hypers from Marvel vs. Capcom 2 features this.
In M.U.G.E.N, Amingo has been made by various creators. All versions use sprites from Marvel vs. Capcom 2.
Danielps & RyouWin's version[]
While it was originaly an unreleased Alpha version by Danielps, Ryouwin later took care of finishing it. Amingo seems to be accurate to Marvel vs. Capcom 2, but with six buttons and two new Hypers.
Beximus's version[]
While this version of Amingo is accurate to the Marvel vs. Capcom series, it is more faithful to the first iteration rather than the second (In which Amingo made its only appearance). There is also a Hyper that brings it to its rhythmic roots.
Kong's version[]
Like most of the other Amingo characters, this one attempts to emulate Marvel vs. Capcom 2, but being a Kong character, it manages to be plagued with species-wiping bugs. This one's gonna need water to survive.
Kamekaze's version[]
This cactus manages to be incredibly source-accurate to Marvel vs. Capcom 2, but can alternate between being a four-button and a six-button character.
RajaaBoy's version[]
Unlike the other versions, Rajaaboy's Amingo, dubbed RajaaAmingo, opts for custom gameplay possibly inspired by the Capcom vs. SNK series and P.O.T.S' characters.
