The most well-known version of the purple dinosaur, Barney only has a few attacks to go with. While this is probably intended due to the many anti-Barney humor surrounding it, this version isn't a super-dee-duper character, but rather a joke character.
Barney is a five-buttoned character, only using , Ⓧ and Ⓨ for Normals. Barney has poor comboability, and can only link his kicks with precise timing.
Barney only has a few attacks, with the aforementioned Normals the only useable attacks. Therefore, this makes Barney underpowered. There are however Specials mentioned in the .cmd file, but the state entries don't match the attacks. Due to this, if Barney is being played as, there is a likely chance Barney may lose the match, unless he is paired with a much more stronger character in a Simul match. This is probably intended due to the negativity regarding the character, and Barney could be considered a joke character due to this.
Barney has no custom A.I. and thus uses the engine's default. This makes Barney move and jump around during the match, making him very easy-to-beat, though this was probably intended.
