Chasing the Nemesis is a stage based on Samus Aran's pursuit of Meta Ridley from the Frigate Orpheon to Tallon IV during a cutscene in the first Metroid Prime. After escaping the Frigate Orpheon's explosion, which was caused by the Parasite Queen falling into the ship's main reactor, Samus, having lost most of her suit upgrades after being caught in a minor explosion on the Orpheon, sees Meta Ridley escaping from the ship towards Tallon IV and proceeds to give chase in her gunship.
In M.U.G.E.N, Chasing the Nemesis has been made by BaganSmashBros; the stage consists of the combatants fighting on top of Samus' gunship while it pursues Meta Ridley towards Tallon IV.

Likely using assets from the first game in the Metroid Prime Trilogy, BaganSmashBros' version has the combatants fight while standing on top of Samus' gunship, with Ridley flying around in front of the gunship and Tallon IV in full view in the far background. Many of the stage's assets have noticeable colour loss to them, though while it may be slightly excusable for Tallon IV itself and the space around the plant's circumference, due to them being in the background, the colour loss on Samus' gunship is very prominent. Due to the nature of the platform that combatants fight on, the stage's horizontal boundaries are quite close together, which doesn't allow for a great deal of left and right movement.
