Star Wars

Anakin Skywalker, later known as Darth Vader, is a major character from the Star Wars series. He first appears in Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace as the main protagonist of the prequel trilogy, and later as a major antagonist in the original trilogy. Anakin was created directly by The Force, resulting in a virgin birth by Shmi Skywalker on Tatooine. Due to his abnormally high midichlorian count as a result of his creation, he is discovered by Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jin, who believes Anakin to be "The Chosen One" who will bring balance to the force; he is then freed from slavery and trained as a Jedi to later serve in the Clone Wars. Because he began training at a much older age than most Jedi, Anakin had already begun to develop emotional attachments to his mother and Senator Padmé Amidala, which made him susceptible to becoming influenced by the dark side of the force.

Chancellor Palpatine, who was secretly the Sith lord Darth Sidious, exploited Anakin's fears of Padmé's death during childbirth to turn Anakin to the dark side of the force as his apprentice. After nearly exterminating the Jedi, he is confronted by his former Jedi master Obi-wan Kenobi and is almost fatally defeated. He becomes a badly burned quadruple amputee due to his wounds, requiring prosthetic cybernetic limbs and life support systems built into his suit. Years later after enacting a reign of terror under his Sith name Darth Vader and swearing loyalty to the new Galactic Empire, he manages to redeem himself and fulfill his destiny as The Chosen One by killing Emperor Palpatine, sacrificing himself in the process in order to save his son Luke Skywalker.

In M.U.G.E.N, Darth Vader has been created by GooGoo64 and Dan Hollandsworth.

This character has cheap attacks and some of its attacks have an unfair reach. Some of its Specials can take off more than half of an opponents health, but the A.I. hardly ever uses them, preferring to fly around out of the enemy's range and stalling the timer out.
