Kirby the Dream Battle is a M.U.G.E.N fangame based around the Kirby series that was created by Fou the Mage of the Sun, with assistance from O Ilusionista. Starting from version 3.0, O Ilusionista took on the role of Project Director.

Taking a twist from the original series where you generally play as Kirby, this fangame features various enemies like Waddle Dee, Box Boxer and Golem as playable characters, as well as the odd cameo of Mega Man. Kirby, ironically, isn't featured anywhere in this game other than on the logo and the name, although it has been proposed that he will be added eventually.[1]

The game's most recent version is Beta 3.1, as of 30th October 2016.

Trivia[]

  • Before version 3.0, the player would fight in a ladder-style Arcade mode, whereas in 3.0, the player only fights Waddle Dee and the boss, Popon; this was fixed in version 3.1.
  • Although Popon cannot be played as from the character select choice, there is a possibility to play as it if one were to choose the randomselect and it lands on Popon.
  • Mega Man might not be the only "guest" character, with supposedly two or three more to be added in future releases.[2]
