Probably the most well known version of the iconic plumber's paper variant, this Paper Mario uses the Super Marvel vs. Capcom: Eternity of Heroes template, as well as the evil mode and sprites ripped from his third game and several custom ones.
Paper Mario is a six-button character that uses the standard button layout, where is used for kicks and for punches. He uses the Super Marvel vs. Capcom: Eternity of Heroes template, which results in Paper Mario having the Forward Dash from the template, as well as the Super Jump.
Paper Mario uses the chain comboing system, meaning he can cancel any of his Normals into a different, stronger Normal. Thanks to the Super Jump, Paper Mario can perform a six-hit combo. However, this can be quite difficult, mostly because his crouching Ⓩ launches the opponent a bit too high, which that would be a problem for Paper Mario to perform it on a character with a small size, though it can be easier with higher characters. Paper Mario features an evil mode (known as the Doopliss mode in the character's animation file) that can be activated by holding Ⓢ and pressing any attacking buttons at the character select screen, which results in Paper Mario having a different intro before the match starts, different standing animation, as well as the Raging Demon. Due to him using the said template as mentioned before, Paper Mario can be buggy at times; for example, if the player hits him multiple times while he's using his Giant Hammer Hyper, M.U.G.E.N will crash, and sometimes he glitches out if he's K.O.'d, such as by dashing forwards or backwards to the corner instead of displaying his liedown sprite and doing strange things instead.
Paper Mario's moveset features two Specials and three Hypers. Hammer Throw is a simple projectile that sees Paper Mario throwing a hammer, while Rising Hammer shows Paper Mario rising up with his hammer while also playing a coin sound. Fire Blast turns Paper Mario in his fire form and shoots fire with a long range, Giant Hammer turns Paper Mario into a giant for a short time and can attack the opponent depending on the button pressed, and he is also able to walk and receive hits from his opponent if they attack him, and Ultimate Paper Cut is a Doopliss mode-exclusive Hyper that is an unblockable throw and deals damage off-screen if it connects.
Paper Mario doesn't have any custom A.I. coding, meaning he uses M.U.G.E.N's default A.I., which results in him randomly attacking while usually jumping and walking around the stage. Because of this, Paper Mario is an easy opponent.

Trivia[]
The high variation of Rising Hammer deals the lowest amount the damage compared to the low and medium variations. It could be a simple oversight by the creator.
