Night's version of Extra Stage: One Life, No Continues starts by displaying a white splash screen with a completely red full body mock-up of Flandre's The Embodiment of Scarlet Devil artwork and the aforementioned game subtitle in the centre, which are quickly joined by small blood splatters before the splash screen fades out to reveal the stage behind it; however, the splash screen does not disappear if character intros are preemptively skipped and 'fight' is called early, which can cause a situation where it temporarily obstructs the view of the combatants. The stage's predominantly red and black theme is only disturbed by a sprite of Kurogane's Flandre Scarlet hovering in the centre, which features her trademark multicoloured wing crystals and blond hair; surrounding Flandre are a spellcard effect and four bats situated in the ordinal directions. The stage's background features another full body mock-up of Flandre's The Embodiment of Scarlet Devil artwork that ominously waves and warps, as well as a 'blood rain' effect that manifests itself in the shape of Flandre's appearance from the Bad Apple!! music video.
