Origin

Fantastic Four

Galactus, also known by the nickname The Devourer of Worlds is a godlike supervillain from Marvel Comics, created by the late-great Stan Lee primarily as a villain for the Fantastic Four, before becoming a villain towards the entire Marvel universe. Formerly a mortal man named Galan, he is a cosmic entity that consumes entire planets in order to hold off his eternal hunger.

Previously a simple space explorer living on the planet Taa, Galan was forced to flee his home planet after an unknown cosmic cataclysm resulted in all life within his universe gradually being killed off. However, his spaceship becomes engulfed in the Big Crunch, where he bonds with the Sentience of the Universe to become reborn as Galactus. Although he is not exactly a malevolent being, Galactus is forced to consume planets in order to maintain his existence, making him an extremely dangerous individual. He appeared as the final boss in Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds and its standalone expansion Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, but was also a playable character in the latter title's aptly named "Galactus Mode".

In M.U.G.E.N, Galactus has been created by several creators, with all versions being boss characters.
