Geo Stelar (also known as Subaru Hoshikawa in Japan) is the main character and sole playable character of the Mega Man : Star Force series. In the series, he is a 5th grader living in a world where electromagnetic waves ("EM waves" for short) have become the everyday norm and main mean of communication, replacing the internet of the previous Battle Network series. He disposes of the ability of fusing with his alien friend from Planet AM, Omega-Xis, to secretly become the hero "Mega Man" (from the nickname he has given to Omega-Xis, "Mega"). He is sometimes referred as Star Force Mega Man to avoid confusion with other eponym characters of the series.

Having lost his astronaut father at a young age during an important "First Contact" situation, Geo suffered from depression and became a shy loner as a result, leaving school and spending his days looking at the sky. One night however, he came into contact with an alien being made of EM waves, Omega-Xis, who asked for his help in battling an alien invasion of Earth from Planet FM in exchange of information about his father. In the adventure that followed, he befriended the initially cold Omega-Xis and slowly moved out of his trauma, relearning the value of social bonds. By the third game of the series, he became an official Satella Police crimefighter agent when EM beings-Humans fusions became regulated by the governments of the world. He has a passion for astronomy and high-tech. He also appears in the Super Smash Bros series as an assist to Mega Man during the latter's Final Smash.

In M.U.G.E.N, he has been made once by Model OCX.

Model OCX's version

Having his sprites ripped from Rockman.EXE Operate Shooting Star, this version of Geo Stelar is a disaster in every way. Having only four working attacks (his grab not working properly) and being quite glitchy, he is also (involuntarily) very cheap : his buster attacks being so quick, long-ranged and overpowered as to kill anyone in seconds. Geo has good reasons to doubt he's a hero when seeing this version of himself!
