The Geothermal Power Plant is a room within the Pyrosphere area in Metroid: Other M. As its name would suggest, the Geothermal Power Plant's function is to provide power to the Pyroshere once the magma-eruption port has been opened; it is here that Samus encounters the fully matured form of Ridley's clone and subsequently falls victim to post-traumatic stress disorder.
In M.U.G.E.N, the Geothermal Power Plant has been made by BaganSmashBros and EXShadow; both versions are based on the Geothermal Power Plant room as it appears in Metroid: Other M.
BaganSmashBros' version[]

BaganSmashBros' version uses a single sprite made up of assets from the Geothermal Power Plant room in Metroid: Other M for everything except the magma flowing out of the opened magma-eruption port, which is a separate sprite taken from another source; due to the assets being a direct rip from the source game, everything appears in a mechanical grey colour rather than the reddish brown colour that one would expect. A cone shaped hole has been cut into the main sprite so that the magma sprite behind it shows through to try and emulate flowing magma, which is animated by tiling the sprite and having it move constantly downwards. The stage has both horizontal and vertical space in abundance, though the camera will follow any combatant vertically should they go higher than ground level.

Heavily inspired by the Geothermal Power Plant room as it appears in Metroid: Other M, EXShadow's version of the stage has the combatants fight on the same platform in which Samus stood on when she fought Ridley. Magma flows down behind the stage in the background from the opened magma-eruption port, while the platform where the combatants fight on slightly shakes up and down, shaking the combatants with it; a red warning light pulsates on and off continuously across the entire stage, and although it is somewhat difficult to see, steam emanates from the magma below the stage. The stage is split into three .def files that only have compatibility differences between them, as the variant that lacks a localcoord is compatible with WinMUGEN, while the M.U.G.E.N 1.0 variants that utilise localcoords of 641x480 and 853x480 are designed to work with aspect ratios of 4:3 and 16:9, respectively.
