Gill is a character from the Street Fighter series, first appearing in Street Fighter III: New Generation as a non-playable boss and the game's main antagonist. He is the leader of the Secret Society (sometimes referred to as the Illuminati), a mysterious organization made up of humanity's elite which have controlled the world's events from the shadows since the dawn of history.
Due to the Secret Society's experiments, Gill's body is symmetrically cut into two halves: one red and one blue. However, each side also grants him special abilities, as his red half allows him to control fire, while his blue side lets him control ice. His design was inspired by Greek Gods, hence his long flowing blonde hair and why he fights completely unclothed except for a white thong. Gill's sprites in the Street Fighter III games are unique in that when he turns, he actually turns in the same way that a real person would, instead of merely having his sprite flipped. His attack's particle effects also change depending on which side he is facing, which was done to show off the processing ability of Capcom's CPS-3 arcade board. After his last appearance in Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike, Gill would not be seen again until his playable return in Street Fighter V as part of the game's "Champion Edition".
In M.U.G.E.N, Gill has been made several times, although GM's version is perhaps the most notable.
GM's version[]
The mark of its dignity will indeed scar the DNA of those who go against it, as this version of Gill is source accurate to Street Fighter 3. That being said, Gill is an easy candidate for a boss-tier character.
