Gouken is a character from the Street Fighter series. He is the adoptive father and master of Ryu, former master of Dan, and older brother of Akuma. He first appeared in Street Fighter IV as a boss, but was unlockable in the console version.
During the period of Akuma succumbing the Satsui no Hado, Gouken owned a dojo and made Dan his first pupil. But Gouken learned that he wanted to learn the martial art for revenge. Fearing that it will lead him to a dark path, Gouken rejected Dan. Gouken then found an abandoned baby Ryu and adopted him as a father. Ken Masters later trained with Ryu as Gouken's third student. The extent of his powers is unknown, since he's been able to achieve feats such as forcing his soul to leave his body in order to survive Akuma's Shun Goku Satsu.
In M.U.G.E.N, Gouken has been made by various creators.
Infinite's version[]
This version has custom sprites, and the sprites are based on its Street Fighter IV incarnation. It has multiple palettes, which is about 80+. This version has brutal AI, and can be hard for inexperienced players. It has a special feature, which the player can select a palette in battle.
