Ness is the main protagonist of the second game in the Mother series, known as EarthBound outside of Japan, and is analogous to Ninten and Lucas in their respective games.
A resident of Onett, Ness greatly enjoys baseball, as not only are most of his weapons various types of baseball bats, but he can also equip several baseball caps, such as a baseball cap that he owns with the name of his favorite team on it. In EarthBound, he is found by Buzz-Buzz to gather the Eight Melodies and defeat the evil alien known as Giygas.
In M.U.G.E.N, Ness has been created by various authors.
Drowin's version[]
The earliest known version of Ness, being based on both Super Smash Bros. Melee and EarthBound, it uses sprites edited from latter game.
K.Y-Shanxi's version[]
This version of Ness, which is heavily based on his Super Smash Bros. Brawl iteration, is one of the most well known versions of the character, and most notably the toughest.
