Origin

X-Men

Onslaught is a character from Marvel Comics' X-Men series, first appearing as a cameo in issue #15 of X-Man before making a full appearance in issue #53 of X-Men Vol. 2. Onslaught made its fighting game debut in Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes, where it served as the game's final boss.

Onslaught was an entity created from the minds of Professor X and Magneto. Upon its release, it fought the X-Men. Realizing that the Sentinels could store psionic energy, it created an army of these mutant-hunting robots. Then, he finds and takes a mutant by the name of Franklin Richards to use his powers to change reality. Finally, he sent the Sentinels to terrorize New York City, unleashing powerful electromagnetic pulses, and with the aid of Franklin Richards, built a citadel at Central Park. Eventually, the X-Men and the other superheroes like the Fantastic Four and the Avengers joined in to take on this new threat and rescue those captured by it.

In M.U.G.E.N, Onslaught has been created by Overlander, OnslaughtX, and Xslaught, with OnslaughtX's version having been edited by djlolo.

Overlander's version[]

OverlanderOnslaughtStand

This Onslaught is considered to be a simple, yet overpowered character. It even has its basic punch and kick moves, however due to Power constantly filling up, Hypers can be executed as many times. The Hyper Beam move can easily K.O. an opponent or deal a huge amount of damage, especially when the opponent is guarding. It fights only in its first form.

OnslaughtX's versionThis version has been edited[]

OnslaughtXIdle

This Onslaught appears to be an improvement over the one made by Overlander. It can call Sentinels that drop bombs over its opponent. It also has 3 strikers and one playable partner. The character and it's A.I. is decent, however it may appear buggy or out of place. It does have two forms; the second form only activates upon defeat in a round prior.

Xslaught's version[]

XsLaughtOnslaughtIdle

Know its name and fear it - Based on Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes, Onslaught proves to be a tough boss, having a somewhat difficult A.I. and two forms. Its first form may not be able to block or jump, but can zone out or pressure an opponent; its second is much larger and can only be hit in the head, but does much more damage with multi-hit moves.
