My Little Pony |
Pinkamena Diane Pie, commonly referred to by simply Pinkie Pie, is a female earth pony and one of the main characters in My Little Pony Friendship is Magic, the fourth generation of the overall My Little Pony franchise. She has a light raspberry-pink fur-coat, light cerulean eyes and puffy dark pink hair. Some merchandise featuring her also calls her the name "Ponka Po".
Representing the element of laughter, she resides at Sugarcube Corner in Ponyville with her toothless pet alligator Gummy, where she works as a baker under her employers/landlords, Mr. & Mrs. Cake. Extremely excitable and quirky, Pinkie loves making others smile and laugh. However, Pinkie does secretly have an insecure side, sometimes doubt her friends or herself, causing her hair to "deflate" and her coat's colour to fade. Pinkie appears to have the ability to predict future events or sense what others don't, which she calls her "Pinkie Sense", a nod to Spider-Man's similarly-named "Spider-Sense". She also frequently breaks the fourth wall, a trait commonly associated with Deadpool.
In M.U.G.E.N, Pinkie Pie has been made multiple times by various creators. Most versions utilize her sprites from the cancelled fighting game project by Mane Six, Fighting is Magic, while either featuring gameplay reminiscent of said title or based on other fighting game franchises.
Moku's version[]
Featuring sprites, sounds, hitsparks and even the unique Magic Gauge from Fighting is Magic, this Pinkie Pie does a solid job of emulating her gameplay from said game. With her A.I. set to level 8 by default, she's determined to make sure everypony joins her in partying, least they make her sad and cause her to go crazy...
Trivia[]
- RockRage8962's version features several references within her moveset:
- Her hyper The Lollichop has a reference to MisterDavie's video, "Cupcakes", based on the fanfic of the same name, as the song "Ready to Die" by Andrew W.K. can be heard.
- One of Pinkie's win poses features a reference to Stooylen's "Pinkie Pie Style" video, which is a parody of the infamous South Korean pop song "Gangnam Style" by the artist PSY.
- Much like all his other MLP creations, HedgehogMac's Pinkie Pie is heavily inspired by the Street Fighter series, featuring Dan Hibiki as an assist when at low health.
- HedgehogMac's Pinkie Pie also features 2 semi anti-cheap modes, which automatically activate when she fights against RockRage8962's and IDGCaptainRussia's Rainbow Dash. If said character summons Tank, Gummy appears inside his own version of Tank's shell with a gun attached to the side and flies in the air exactly like Tank. While this mode activates regardless of Pinkie being player or AI controlled, her second pseudo-Element of Harmony mode can only be activated by the AI.
