Featuring sprites, sounds, hitsparks and even the unique Magic Gauge from Fighting is Magic, this Pinkie Pie does a solid job of emulating her gameplay from said game. With her A.I. set to level 8 by default, she's determined to make sure everypony joins her in partying, least they make her sad and cause her to go crazy...
This version of Pinkie Pie is a 3-button character, with her gameplay being mostly based on her appearance in the cancelled fangame Fighting is Magic, as well as taking some inspiration from the Marvel vs. Capcom series. She uses a 3-button layout: Ⓧ, Ⓨ and Ⓩ. The Ⓢ button is also used, although specifically for her taunt only. Ⓧ functions as a normal punch attack, Ⓨ is a two-punch combo, and Ⓩ serves as a standard kick attack.
Despite overall featuring an accurate gameplay style to that of Fighting is Magic, Pinkie Pie's combo ability specifically seems to be more reminiscent of Marvel vs. Capcom 2, as she is able to deliver chains of attacks quite quickly. As a CPU, Pinkie tends to use her Cupcake Assault hyper to end a combo, given that she has at least 1 meter of Power to use. Her "Be Right Back!" special allows her to escape the corner when trapped there by her opponent, positioning her behind them and enabling her to trap her opponent there instead, making it a useful move in her arsenal.
Pinkie Pie doesn't have a particular style of gameplay that she excels in, as she has a decent mix of melee-based attacks and projectile attacks, making her an all-around character that is suitable for new players to pick-up. Due to this, she doesn't necessarily struggle against any particular type of character - not including cheapies - as she is able to shoot airborne opponents out of the air with her Party Cannon, and her melee attacks are able to hit smaller characters. Her average size means that she is not a massive target for her opponents, but at the same time is able to easily dodge high attacks while crouching.
Pinkie Pie features a custom A.I. with varying levels of difficulty; it is set to level 8 by default, which makes her an extremely challenging opponent to fight against. Her level 8 AI makes good use of heavy combos and launchers to get her opponents airborne. When at a distance, she'll either spam her Party Cannon special to keep her opponent away, or rush towards them to try and start a combo. Her level 3 hyper, Pinkamena, functions similarly to Akuma'sShun Goku Satsu and can deal a significant chunk of damage.
