Princess Luna, formerly known by her alter-ego Nightmare Moon, is a female Alicorn pony and a character in My Little Pony Friendship is Magic, the fourth generation of the overall My Little Pony franchise. One of Equestria's former co-rulers alongside her older sister, Princess Celestia, her responsibility involved moving the moon each and every day, a feat speculated to require an enormous amount of magical power.
After refusing to lower the moon one evening due to having become bitter that the ponies of Equestria relished daytime but slept at night, Luna transformed into Nightmare Moon and vowed to shroud Equestria in eternal night. Celestia banished her essence into the moon when she was unable to do anything to snap her sister out of her evil state, but after returning 1000 years later, she was freed from her "Nightmare Moon" persona for good. Transformed back to her former self, a tearful Luna ran to her older sister's side and apologized for her actions. She has since become much more playful and kind, although she can still be intimidating whenever angered. As of the ninth and final season, she and Celestia are both retired from co-ruling Equestria, leaving this role to Twilight Sparkle and her friends.
In M.U.G.E.N, Princess Luna has been made twice: by HedgehogMac and a collab between 1055273004 and The MegaBrony.
HedgehogMac's version[]
Luna uses the infamous EOH Template, and, much like HedgehogMac's other characters, uses moves from Street Fighter characters. In this case, she borrows moves from Akuma (including but not limited to a Ashura Warp and guard push combo). On a side note, the stats are a bit higher than normal making Luna more of a boss character.
The A.I. is pretty Brutal, it likes to spam the magic gattling gun over and over again, there's a glitch that gives her Power when she uses it. The AI unleashes the Shun Goku Satsu when it gets full power, making this character's AI pretty predictable.
