Raichu is an Electric-type Pokémon from the Pokémon series. It is the final evolution of Pichu, and has a regional variant in the Alola region known as Alolan Raichu. It appears at #026 in both the Kanto and National Pokédexes.

Raichu's body allows it to store up to 100,000 volts, enough energy to make adversaries many times its size unconscious. If it stores too much energy, its muscles tense up, it tends to get feisty and aggressive, and it also tends to shock itself. To prevent this, it can discharge energy through its tail into the ground, like a lightning rod. Raichu also always emits small electrical discharge, causing it to glow in the dark. Raichu that are native to the Alola region have developed the ability to yield psychic power as a result of their regional diet and adaptations to their unique environment. This newfound power can be discharged through their tails to float off the ground, allowing them to ride their tails similar to a surfboard.

In M.U.G.E.N, Raichu has been created once by Joey Faust, based on its Normal forme; it is a spriteswap of one of Fido's Street Fighter II characters, specifically Guile, and was made for Team Faust Games Arena Fighters.

While the creator states it to be a spriteswap of Guile by Fido, it plays nothing like said character. Created for the sole purpose of appearing in Team Faust Games Arena Fighters, this version of the electric rodent also seems to have some gastrointestinal problems, as it uses burps along with standard electrical-based attacks; it has trouble comboing, though.
