Sekirei's conversions of the cast of the earliest The King of Fighters games are considered to be the most accurate to date, and his Robert is no exception, as the POW meter and dodge work the same as the source game. The creator also added in a stun bar, which Robert can use to put its opponents at a disadvantage.
Robert uses a five button layout, with all five buttons acting as Normals. Robert is a hybrid conversion from The King of Fighters '94 and The King of Fighters '95, being source accurate to both games (despite both games being similar in terms of mechanics). It has all the tools of the trade from both games.
Robert, like almost all The King of Fighters conversions, comes equipped with a dodge. Staying true to the source game, it stays still, so Robert can't move during it. Robert has 5000 Power, but doesn't need it, as it has a POW meter. This meter fills up when Robert is attacked or uses pow. Once it is full, it can preform its lone Hyper, but the gauge will also deplete on its own.
The character has a STUN meter, which when depleted, will put the opponent into a dizzy state. The meter will still fill up, so to deplete it, the player must play in an aggressive manner.
It may have many fancy mechanics, but it still has gameplay typical of most The King of Fighters characters. As such, Robert relies on keeping opponents down or away, via the use of its Specials. Given its large movepool, Robert has lots to work with, a trait that gave it an advantage in the source.
Robert's A.I is custom and advanced, taking many of its tools into consideration, all while being wildly unpredictable. Robert only has two ranged Attacks, so at most, a very projectile oriented character could be useful.
