SNK vs. Capcom is a series of video games consisting of crossovers between the franchises of SNK/SNK Playmore and Capcom. A majority of games in the series are fighting games, starting with SNK vs. Capcom: Match of the Millennium for the SNK Neo Geo Pocket Color, with later installments like the Capcom vs. SNK games being directed by Capcom before SNK Playmore made the last fighting game in the series, SNK vs. Capcom: SVC Chaos. The rest consists of the Card Fighters series, a turn-based trading card game with similar gameplay to Wizards of the Coast's Magic: The Gathering.

A majority of characters present in the series have been made for M.U.G.E.N, especially those present in the fighting game installments. SNK vs. Capcom: Match of the Millennium is a simpler and more traditional fighter, but most conversions based on the game are custom and do not aim for accuracy. Characters based on SNK vs. Capcom: SVC Chaos follow a similar suit, mainly aiming to replicate the gameplay of SNK's The King of Fighters rather than replicate the gameplay of the source material. Characters based on the Capcom vs. SNK series do base themselves on what is possible in said source, but most notably change the Groove system to their liking; those aiming for perfect accuracy will keep the system, but those making more custom creations will merge the systems to what they find satisfiable. The Capcom vs. SNK style is one of the most popular creation styles in the current M.U.G.E.N community, especially characters based on PotS' interpretation of the style.
