SR388 is a planet in the Metroid series that was formally inhabited by the Chozo and eventually became home to the titular Metroids, who rose to be become the planet's dominant predator. During the events of Metroid II: Return of Samus, Samus was tasked by the Galactic Federation with exterminating all Metroids on SR388 after it was found that the Space Pirates were attempting to use them as bio-weapons; however, it was because of the extermination of the Metroids that the planet's native dominant predator, the X-Parasites, regained their position at the top of the food chain, which resulted in the events of Metroid Fusion.
In M.U.G.E.N, SR388 has been made into a stage by HeeJun184 using sprites taken from Metroid II: Return of Samus, with the stage's name implying that it some sort of tribute stage.

HeeJun184's version is a tribute stage that uses sprites from Metroid II: Return of Samus without matching any particular room that appears in the game, though the sprites used would imply that the stage is set in one of the Chozo ruins; because of the nature of the game the sprites were taken from, the stage is entirely in greyscale, consisting of no more than four colours. Two chozo statues can be seen at either side of the stage on elevated platforms, while a protrusion from the ground can be seen in the centre of the stage with a save station on it; notably, all elements of the stage are layered in the foreground, which makes them obscure any combatants that move in front of them. A lack of vertical camera movement and extremely minimal horizontal camera movement leaves for an extremely limited amount of room for combatants to fight, a problem further compounded by some of the character-obscuring foreground elements that make it incredibly impractical to fight in what little room the stage has.
