Samus Aran is the main character and protagonist of the Metroid franchise. An intergalactic bounty hunter, Samus is a hero of few words, a fearsome warrior and has devoted her entire life to maintaining peace in the galaxy. Despite frequently collaborating with the Galactic Federation, she is ultimately a lone wolf, disliking being told what to do and only accepting orders from others if they align with her goals and bounties.
Samus' main enemies are the Space Pirates, and Ridley in particular, due to him being personally responsible for the death of her mother when she was young and causing her to become an orphan. The Chozo, having previously visited Samus, would bring her to their planet, Zebes, and raise her as one of their own, although they had to infuse her with Chozo DNA in order to survive the planet's harsh conditions. Training under the Chozo for many years, Samus quickly surpassed the physical limits of ordinary humans by 14, before being gifted an advanced Chozo Power Suit. Although she has a reputation for combat, Samus is capable of showing compassion, such as during the events of Metroid II, where she bonded with and spared a baby Metroid, possibly remembering her own tragic past. Although her first meeting with Ridley after her mother's death resulted in a panic attack, she has since been able to handle her trauma, and now has no hesitation to battle against him and get her revenge.
In M.U.G.E.N, Samus has been made by various creators. In 2007, Samus was a W.I.P of ShinRyoga's and Reuben Kee's, but was cancelled due to Reuben Kee's death later that same year due to a boating accident.
Jupiter's version[]
Jupiter's Samus can be cheap when being controlled because the player can spam the character's power shots until the opponent is down; the character is also able to summon clones to that mostly shoot power shots and ice missiles. The character uses M.U.G.E.N's default A.I., so its behaviour is random but unchallenging.
