Fun Fact: "Mugen" is the Romanization of the Japanese word for "infinity". 22.214.171.124 16:27, January 19, 2013 (UTC)
Guess we already know what this word translated for.
Moojins too short
Moojins be deadly
IMO, those download links look pretty sketchy.
Why would we use untrustworthy download links? 1.0 and 1.1 are the only versions you can get from the official website, which is currently offline, meaning the other versions have to be hosted somewhere else (note: my MediaFire). The current downloads for 1.0 and 1.1 are from the Mugen Fighters Guild, so I'm pretty sure they're safe too.
Maybe I've just been too paranoid lately, heh heh.
I'm planning on downloading a version today, but I can't choose between 1.0 and 1.1.
1.0 is the most stable, while 1.1 has sparkly new features like unlimited colours and screen zoom. My personal opinion is to go with 1.0.
Okay, thanks. I have another question. How much space does 1.0 alone take up? And if you don't mind, I have another question: I've seen some people say a good way to start is by editing Kung Fu Man. But could editing characters like ShinRyoga's Mario, or Warner's Luigi also be a good start, or are they too complex for someone literally just starting out. I'm more familiar with games like Smash Bros. than say, Street Fighter so I have my eyes set on Warner's Luigi but Smash Bros. gameplay is very different from normal fighters.
M.U.G.E.N by itself isn't very big, but can get quite big depending on how much content you've added to it (characters, stages, etc.). Kung Fu Man is built as a template, with commentary written throughout the character explaining what each bit of code does, hence why people suggest to use him as a starting point.
Okey-dokey. Guess I'm starting off with KFM. Thank you!
"Dangerous" file (winmugen)
It's absolute nonsense and probably just a scummy way for MediaFire to get users to purchase BitDefender to """fix""" it, but I've gone and replaced the link anyway.
