My Little Pony |
Twilight Sparkle is a female Alicorn pony (formerly a unicorn) and one of the main characters in My Little Pony Friendship is Magic, the fourth generation of the overall My Little Pony franchise, and the franchise's central main protagonist. She has a light mulberry fur-coat, violet eyes and dark sapphire hair with purple & pink stripes. In later seasons, she wears a crown with the element of Magic embedded in it.
Representing the element of magic, Twilight originally lived in Canterlot with her dragon assistant Spike and her pet owl Owlowiscious, before moving to Ponyville at the request of her teacher, Princess Celestia. Once there, she becomes friends with the rest of the Mane Six, where she discovers the "Elements of Harmony" and uses them to rid Celestia's sister, Princess Luna, of her Nightmare Moon persona. Throughout the series, Twilight learns about the trials, rewards and magic of friendship, periodically sending friendship reports to Princess Celestia to tell her what she has learned. As of the ninth and final season of Friendship is Magic, Twilight, now a Princess, has taken over as the new ruler of Equestria alongside her friends, after both Celestia and Luna retired from the role.
In M.U.G.E.N, Twilight Sparkle has been made multiple times by various creators. Most versions utilize her sprites from the cancelled fighting game project by Mane Six, Fighting is Magic, while either featuring gameplay reminiscent of said title or based on other fighting game franchises.
ralord's version[]
Twilight Sparkle has been studying hard lately, with her gameplay being semi-accurate to her Fighting is Magic playstyle. She has also taught herself a couple of original spells, meaning that her opponents will need to stay on their hooves if they want to stand a chance at besting her.
Moku's second version[]
Moku has created two versions of the version of the character, with his second version featuring a different playstyle compared to his first version, which in this case is based on Marvel vs. Capcom 3. It is somewhat overpowered and has an extremely high level A.I. that is almost impossible to defeat, due to the A.I. making use of expertly timed guarding and combos if the player isn't careful.
Trivia[]
- RockRage8962 and IDGCaptainRussia's version was based off of a cancelled W.I.P. of another version of Twilight that RockRage8962 was originally making, which was a spriteswap of Butthenidied's Rainbow Dash.
- RockRage8962 and IDGCaptainRussia's version is currently the only version in several aspects:
- Feature Spike the Dragon in any form
- Include her Alicorn form as a special attack (Kyle108's version features it as her main form)
- HedgehogMac's Twilight Sparkle is heavily inspired by the Street Fighter series, and has a similiar playstyle to Ryu/Evil Ryu.
