Street Fighter |
Yun is a character from the Street Fighter series, first appearing in the Street Fighter III series of games as the older twin brother of Yang. From Hong Kong, he is an energetic, extroverted skateboarder skilled in Kung Fu and wears a white changshan with a blue baseball cap.
Yun and Yang are the nephews of Lee, a character from the original Street Fighter, and were separated from their parents at birth, later raised by their grandparents. Their grandfather, a herbalist and acupuncturist, taught them the art of Chinese Kung Fu, and Yun was nicknamed the "White Dragon" during his time learning the art. With his twin, he is honored in his home Hong Kong neighborhood, active in their community by helping maintain peace and settling disputes while running a restaurant in the town. In Street Fighter III, Yun and Yang entered the World Warrior tournament to show off their skills before encountering Gill and stopping his maniacal plans. Upon defeat, Gill lent them the ownership of their town in appreciation of their efforts, which they declined.
In M.U.G.E.N, Yun has been made multiple times, with many of them basing him off his Street Fighter III appearances. Some versions of Yun, like Mr. Fong's version, are based more on his Capcom vs. SNK 2 appearance, but lack any moves involving Yang, who appeared alongside him in that game.
Mr. Fong's version[]
Despite lacking the assistance of his brother, Mr. Fong's version of Yun is a custom take on his appearance in Capcom vs. SNK 2. He is not a joke, he is not a T-shirt, but the best of his abilities tend to be rather variable; he does rather well at close and middle ranges and has multiple moves that allow him to get in, but comboability tends to be rather simplistic due to poor juggling and a lack of super cancelling options.
